Defining a Deployment

AutoFOCUS supports deployment of component architectures to platform architectures. Note that this feature is still under development and only a basic version is included with the Phoenix release. You can add a deployment to your model using the context menu. The deployment is automatically linked to the first component architecture and the first platform architecture found in your model.

The editor for a deployment currently consists of beta version of the comfortable deployment editor, we will provide in the future, and a simple table editor to allow you to specify the allocation of components and ports to execution units and sensors and actuators.

In the comfortable editor, you can drag and drop the components from the tree on the left-hand side onto the execution units displayed in the right-hand side. You can undeploy the components using the context menu on the left-hand view. For the moment you will have to use the table editor for port deployment.

The table editor allows you to allocate components and ports by selecting pairs with this simple user interface.

Allocating components to execution units is done with the "New..." button on the left-hand side of the table-based editor.

Allocating ports to platform I/O units is done with the "New..." button on the right-hand side of the table-based editor.
